Edward Angle
Edward Angle was an American orthodontist born in 1855, known as the "father of modern orthodontics." He developed the first classification system for dental malocclusions, which helped orthodontists diagnose and treat misaligned teeth and jaws. His work laid the foundation for many orthodontic practices used today.
In addition to his classification system, Angle founded the Angle Orthodontist journal and established the Angle School of Orthodontia in 1900. He emphasized the importance of proper dental alignment for overall health and aesthetics, influencing generations of orthodontists and improving patient care in the field of dentistry.
