Education in Kenya
Education in Kenya is structured into several levels, including primary, secondary, and tertiary education. Primary education lasts for eight years, followed by four years of secondary education. The government has made significant efforts to improve access to education, particularly through the introduction of free primary education in 2003.
The Kenyan education system is overseen by the Ministry of Education, which sets the curriculum and standards. Despite progress, challenges such as overcrowded classrooms and disparities in rural and urban education quality remain. The country is also working to integrate technology and vocational training to better prepare students for the job market.
