Education in Greenland
Education in Greenland is primarily provided by the government and is free for all residents. The education system consists of primary, secondary, and higher education levels, with instruction mainly in the Greenlandic language, although Danish is also used.
Children typically start school at age six and complete primary education by age sixteen. After primary school, students can choose to attend high school or vocational training programs. The focus is on both academic subjects and practical skills, preparing students for further education or the workforce.
