Ecclesiastical Province of Armagh
The Ecclesiastical Province of Armagh is one of the four provinces of the Church of Ireland, which is part of the Anglican Communion. It is centered in the city of Armagh, Northern Ireland, and serves as the spiritual home of the Archbishop of Armagh, who is the senior bishop in the Church of Ireland. The province includes several dioceses, each overseen by a bishop.
Historically, the province has played a significant role in the Christian heritage of Ireland, dating back to the early medieval period. It is known for its rich ecclesiastical history, including the establishment of the Cathedral of Armagh, which is one of the oldest Christian sites in Ireland. The province continues to be influential in religious and community life today.
