Eastern Orthodox theology
Eastern Orthodox theology is the body of beliefs and practices of the Eastern Orthodox Church, which emphasizes the importance of tradition, the sacraments, and the teachings of the early Church Fathers. It holds that salvation is a process of becoming one with God, known as theosis, and views the Holy Trinity as central to its understanding of God.
Theology in the Eastern Orthodox tradition is expressed through liturgy, icons, and the veneration of saints. The Nicene Creed is a fundamental statement of faith, and the Church places a strong emphasis on the continuity of its teachings and practices from the time of the apostles to the present day.
