Eastern Harbour Crossing
The Eastern Harbour Crossing is a road tunnel in Hong Kong that connects the districts of Kowloon and Hong Kong Island. Opened in 1997, it provides a vital transportation link, helping to ease traffic congestion in the area. The tunnel runs beneath the Victoria Harbour, allowing vehicles to travel quickly between the two regions.
The crossing is approximately 2.2 kilometers long and features a toll system for vehicles using it. It is part of the larger network of tunnels and roads in Hong Kong, which includes other crossings like the Western Harbour Crossing and the Cross-Harbour Tunnel.
