Eastern Christian
Eastern Christianity refers to the diverse group of Christian traditions and churches that developed in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and parts of Asia. This includes the Eastern Orthodox Church, the Oriental Orthodox Churches, and the Eastern Catholic Churches. These traditions share a common heritage but differ in theology, liturgy, and governance.
The Eastern Orthodox Church is the largest branch, with significant influence in countries like Greece, Russia, and Serbia. The Oriental Orthodox Churches, including the Coptic Orthodox Church and the Armenian Apostolic Church, have distinct beliefs and practices. Eastern Catholic Churches are in communion with the Roman Catholic Church while maintaining their unique traditions.
