Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court
The Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (ECSC) is a regional court that serves several countries and territories in the Eastern Caribbean. Established in 1967, it provides a unified legal system for its member states, which include Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Kitts and Nevis, and Saint Lucia, among others. The court handles civil, criminal, and constitutional matters, ensuring justice and legal consistency across the region.
The ECSC consists of a High Court and a Court of Appeal. The High Court deals with serious cases, while the Court of Appeal reviews decisions made by the High Court. The court's judges are appointed from various member states, promoting regional representation and expertise in the judicial process.
