East Sea
The "East Sea" is a body of water located between the eastern coast of the Korean Peninsula and the western coast of Japan. It is also known as the Sea of Japan in some regions. This sea is an important area for shipping, fishing, and marine biodiversity, supporting various ecosystems.
The East Sea connects to the Yellow Sea to the southwest and the Okhotsk Sea to the north. It plays a significant role in regional climate and weather patterns. The sea is also a site of historical and territorial disputes, particularly between South Korea and Japan.
