East Caribbean Dollar
The East Caribbean Dollar (XCD) is the official currency used by several countries and territories in the Eastern Caribbean. It was introduced in 1983 and is managed by the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB). The currency is pegged to the US Dollar at a fixed rate of 2.7 XCD to 1 USD, providing stability for the economies of the region.
The East Caribbean Dollar is used by eight member countries of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), including Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Antigua and Barbuda. The currency is available in both coins and banknotes, with denominations that facilitate everyday transactions in these island nations.
