Early Islamic Community
The early Islamic community emerged in the 7th century CE in the Arabian Peninsula, centered around the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad. Following his revelations, a group of followers began to form a cohesive community in Medina, where they practiced their faith and established social and political structures based on Islamic principles.
This community, known as the Ummah, emphasized unity, equality, and support among its members. As Islam spread through trade and conquests, the early community laid the foundation for a vast empire, influencing culture, law, and society across regions, including North Africa and the Middle East.
