Early Islam
Early Islam began in the 7th century CE in the Arabian Peninsula, with the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad. He received revelations from Allah that were later compiled into the Qur'an. These teachings emphasized monotheism, social justice, and moral conduct, attracting followers in Mecca and Medina.
As the movement grew, it faced opposition from local tribes and leaders. In 622 CE, Muhammad and his followers migrated to Medina, marking the start of the Islamic calendar. Over the next few decades, Islam expanded rapidly through conquests and trade, establishing a significant presence across the Middle East and beyond.
