EV-DO
EV-DO, or Evolution Data Optimized, is a wireless broadband technology used primarily for mobile data transmission. It allows users to access the internet on their mobile devices at higher speeds than traditional methods. EV-DO is part of the CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) family and is commonly used by various cellular networks.
This technology operates in two main versions: EV-DO Rev. 0 and EV-DO Rev. A. The latter offers improved upload speeds and better support for multimedia applications. EV-DO has been instrumental in enhancing mobile internet experiences, paving the way for more advanced technologies like 4G LTE.
