ECOWAS
The Economic Community of West African States, or ECOWAS, is a regional political and economic union of fifteen countries located in West Africa. Established in 1975, its primary goal is to promote economic integration, stability, and cooperation among member states. This includes initiatives in trade, infrastructure development, and peacekeeping efforts.
ECOWAS also plays a crucial role in addressing regional challenges such as conflicts, health crises, and environmental issues. The organization works to enhance collaboration among its members, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose in achieving sustainable development and improving the quality of life for the people in the region.
