E.B. White was an American author and essayist, best known for his children's books, including Charlotte's Web, Stuart Little, and The Trumpet of the Swan. Born on July 11, 1899, in Mount Vernon, New York, he became a prominent figure in American literature and was also a contributor to The New Yorker magazine.
