E. B. White
E. B. White was an American author and essayist, best known for his children's books, including Charlotte's Web and Stuart Little. Born on July 11, 1899, in Mount Vernon, New York, he became a prominent figure in American literature and was also a contributor to The New Yorker magazine.
In addition to his children's literature, White wrote essays and articles that often reflected his love for nature and rural life. He collaborated with William Strunk Jr. on the influential writing guide, The Elements of Style, which remains a standard reference for writers today. White passed away on October 1, 1985.
