Dutch Resistance
The Dutch Resistance was a movement in the Netherlands during World War II that opposed the German occupation from 1940 to 1945. It consisted of various groups and individuals who engaged in acts of sabotage, intelligence gathering, and helping those persecuted by the Nazis, including Jews.
Members of the resistance used underground newspapers, organized strikes, and assisted in hiding refugees. They played a crucial role in undermining German authority and providing information to the Allies. Despite facing severe reprisals, the Dutch Resistance demonstrated courage and resilience in their fight for freedom and justice.
