Dust Devils
Dust devils are small, rotating columns of air that form when hot air rises from the ground and interacts with cooler air above. They typically occur in dry, open areas, such as deserts or fields, and can be seen as swirling dust or debris. These phenomena can vary in size, from a few feet to over 100 feet tall, and usually last for a few minutes.
While dust devils are often mistaken for tornadoes, they are much weaker and less destructive. They are most common in warm weather and can be influenced by factors like topography and wind patterns. Dust devils are harmless but can be fascinating to observe.
