Durin I
Durin I is a legendary figure in Middle-earth, known as the first of the seven Dwarven fathers. He is credited with founding the Dwarf kingdom of Khazad-dûm, which later became famous for its vast mines and wealth. Durin I is often referred to as "Durin the Deathless" because he is said to have lived for an exceptionally long time, and his spirit is believed to have been reincarnated in subsequent Durins.
Durin I's legacy is significant in Dwarven culture, as he symbolizes strength and endurance. His descendants, known as the Durin's Folk, continued to rule Khazad-dûm for generations. The tales of Durin I are an essential part of the rich mythology created by J.R.R. Tolkien in his works, including The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.
