Duquesne Incline
The Duquesne Incline is a historic funicular railway located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1877 and is one of the few remaining inclines in the United States. The incline transports passengers up and down Mount Washington, offering stunning views of the Pittsburgh skyline and the confluence of the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers.
The incline operates using a cable system and has two cars that move simultaneously, balancing each other. The ride is approximately 800 feet long and ascends a steep grade of 30 degrees.
