Dungeness B
Dungeness B is a nuclear power station located on the southern coast of England, near the village of Dungeness. It began operations in 1983 and is part of the Dungeness complex, which also includes the older Dungeness A station. The facility uses advanced gas-cooled reactor technology to generate electricity, contributing to the UK's energy supply.
The power station is operated by EDF Energy and has a capacity of around 1,000 megawatts. It plays a significant role in providing low-carbon energy, helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Dungeness B is currently undergoing a process of defueling and decommissioning as it nears the end of its operational life.
