Duke Ulrich of Württemberg
Duke Ulrich of Württemberg (1487-1550) was a significant figure in the history of the Duchy of Württemberg in present-day Germany. He became duke in 1498 but faced challenges, including being expelled from his territory in 1519 due to conflicts with the Holy Roman Empire. He spent years in exile before regaining control in 1534.
Ulrich was known for his efforts to reform the duchy and promote the Reformation. He supported the spread of Lutheranism and worked to strengthen the political and economic stability of his region. His reign marked a pivotal period in Württemberg's development.
