Duke Christian August of Holstein-Gottorp
Duke Christian August of Holstein-Gottorp (1706-1756) was a German nobleman and a member of the House of Holstein-Gottorp. He served as the Duke of Holstein-Gottorp from 1726 until his death. His reign was marked by efforts to modernize his duchy and improve its economy, particularly through agricultural reforms.
