Duchy of Lusatia
The Duchy of Lusatia was a historical region located in present-day eastern Germany and western Poland. It emerged in the 13th century and was part of the larger territory of Saxony. The duchy was known for its diverse population, including Slavs and Germans, and played a significant role in the political landscape of Central Europe.
Throughout its history, the Duchy of Lusatia changed hands multiple times, influenced by various powers such as the Holy Roman Empire and the Kingdom of Bohemia. It was eventually incorporated into Prussia in the 18th century, marking the end of its status as an independent duchy.
