Duchy Of Prussia
The Duchy of Prussia was a historical territory located in northeastern Europe, established in the early 16th century. It originated from the Teutonic Knights' state and became a duchy in 1525 when the Grand Master of the Knights, Albert of Hohenzollern, converted to Lutheranism and secularized the territory. The duchy was a vassal state of the Kingdom of Poland.
In 1701, the Duchy of Prussia was elevated to a kingdom, becoming part of the Kingdom of Prussia. This transition marked the beginning of Prussia's rise as a significant European power, influencing the political landscape of the region for centuries.
