Duchy Of Opole
The Duchy of Opole was a historical principality located in present-day southern Poland. Established in the 13th century, it was part of the larger Silesia region. The duchy was ruled by various members of the Piast dynasty, which played a significant role in the early history of Poland.
Throughout its existence, the Duchy of Opole experienced numerous territorial changes and political alliances. It was often influenced by neighboring powers, including the Kingdom of Bohemia and the Holy Roman Empire. The duchy eventually became part of the Habsburg Monarchy in the 18th century.
