Duchess Sophie of Hohenberg
Duchess Sophie of Hohenberg was born on March 1, 1868, in Vienna, Austria-Hungary. She was a member of the Hohenberg family and the daughter of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria and Sophie, Duchess of Hohenberg. Her family was closely linked to the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and her father was the heir presumptive to the Austro-Hungarian throne until his assassination in 1914.
Sophie married Prince Franz Salvator of Tuscany in 1889, and they had several children. Throughout her life, she was known for her charitable work and dedication to her family. Duchess Sophie passed away on May 28, 1914, shortly before the outbreak of World War I.
