Dual Process Theory
Dual Process Theory is a psychological framework that explains how people think and make decisions using two different systems. The first system, often called System 1, operates quickly and automatically, relying on intuition and emotions. It helps us make snap judgments and react to situations without much effort.
The second system, known as System 2, is slower and more deliberate. It involves analytical thinking and reasoning, allowing us to solve complex problems and make thoughtful decisions. Together, these systems help us navigate everyday life, balancing quick responses with careful consideration when needed.
