Drysuit
A drysuit is a type of waterproof garment designed to keep the wearer dry in cold water environments. Unlike a wetsuit, which allows some water to enter and insulates the body with a layer of water, a drysuit seals out water completely. It is typically made from materials like neoprene or Gore-Tex and features seals at the neck, wrists, and ankles to prevent water entry.
Drysuits are commonly used in activities such as scuba diving, kayaking, and cold-water swimming. They provide thermal insulation by trapping air inside, which helps maintain body temperature in frigid conditions. Proper fit and maintenance are essential for safety and effectiveness.
