Drumheads
Drumheads are the membranes stretched over the top and bottom of a drum, which produce sound when struck. They can be made from various materials, including animal skin and synthetic materials like mylar. The type of drumhead affects the drum's tone, volume, and overall sound quality.
There are two main types of drumheads: batter heads, which are struck by the drummer, and resonant heads, which enhance the sound produced. Different drumheads can be used for various styles of music, such as rock, jazz, or classical, allowing drummers to achieve their desired sound.
