Drin River
The Drin River is a significant waterway located in the western part of the Balkans. It flows through Albania and Kosovo, eventually emptying into the Adriatic Sea. The river is approximately 285 kilometers long and is known for its picturesque landscapes and rich biodiversity.
The Drin River is divided into two main sections: the Black Drin and the White Drin. The Black Drin originates from Lake Ohrid, while the White Drin flows from Lake Gjakova. Both branches converge near the town of Kukës, contributing to the river's importance for local ecosystems and communities.
