Doug Williams
Doug Williams is a former professional American football quarterback, best known for his time with the Washington Redskins in the National Football League (NFL). He made history in Super Bowl XXII by becoming the first African American quarterback to win a Super Bowl, where he was named the game's Most Valuable Player (MVP) after throwing for 340 yards and four touchdowns.
Born on January 14, 1955, in Zachary, Louisiana, Williams played college football at Grambling State University under the legendary coach Eddie Robinson. After being drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1978, he later joined the Redskins, where he achieved significant success and became a prominent figure in NFL history.
