Doug Burgum
Doug Burgum is an American businessman and politician, currently serving as the Governor of North Dakota. He took office in December 2016 after winning the gubernatorial election. Before entering politics, Burgum was known for his work in the technology sector, particularly as the CEO of Great Plains Software, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2001.
Burgum was born on August 1, 1956, in Wisconsin and grew up in North Dakota. He holds a degree in Business Administration from North Dakota State University. As governor, he has focused on issues such as economic development, education, and healthcare in the state.
