Dongba scripts
Dongba scripts are a unique system of pictographic writing used by the Naxi people in Yunnan Province, China. These scripts are primarily used for religious texts, rituals, and cultural documentation, reflecting the rich traditions and beliefs of the Naxi culture.
The scripts consist of over 1,000 symbols, each representing different concepts, objects, or ideas. Unlike alphabetic writing systems, Dongba scripts are visually expressive and often incorporate intricate illustrations, making them an important aspect of Naxi heritage and identity.
