Dongba Script
The Dongba Script is a unique writing system used by the Naxi people in southwestern China, particularly in the Lijiang region. It consists of pictographs and ideograms, representing various concepts, objects, and actions. This script is primarily used for religious texts, rituals, and cultural documentation, reflecting the rich traditions of the Naxi culture.
Unlike alphabetic systems, the Dongba Script does not have a standardized form and can vary in style. It is considered one of the few remaining pictographic writing systems in the world, highlighting the importance of preserving indigenous languages and scripts in the face of globalization.
