Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark
The Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark is located in the northern region of Vietnam, primarily in Ha Giang Province. It is renowned for its stunning limestone karst landscapes, which have been shaped over millions of years. The geopark covers an area of approximately 2,356 square kilometers and features unique geological formations, rich biodiversity, and diverse ecosystems.
Designated as a UNESCO Global Geopark in 2010, the Dong Van Karst Plateau is home to various ethnic minority groups, including the H'mong and Dao people. The area is also known for its cultural heritage, traditional practices, and vibrant local markets, making it a significant destination for both nature lovers and cultural enthusiasts.
