Dominion Status
Dominion Status refers to a semi-autonomous political status that allows a territory to govern itself while still recognizing the authority of a larger sovereign state. This status was commonly associated with the British Empire, where countries like Canada and Australia gained the ability to manage their own affairs while remaining part of the empire.
Under Dominion Status, these territories had their own parliaments and could make local laws, but they were still subject to the overarching laws and policies of the United Kingdom. This arrangement allowed for a degree of independence while maintaining ties to the British crown.
