Dolphin Pods
A dolphin pod is a social group of dolphins that typically consists of 2 to 30 individuals, although larger pods can form during feeding or migration. These pods are often made up of family members, including mothers and their calves, and they communicate using a variety of sounds, clicks, and body language.
Dolphin pods exhibit cooperative behaviors, such as hunting together and protecting each other from predators. The social structure within a pod can vary, with some species, like the bottlenose dolphin, forming strong bonds, while others may have more fluid group dynamics.
