Dogfish
Dogfish are a type of small shark belonging to the family Squalidae. They are commonly found in both temperate and tropical waters around the world. Dogfish are known for their slender bodies and sharp spines, which can be found in front of their dorsal fins. These sharks primarily feed on small fish and invertebrates, using their keen sense of smell to locate prey.
There are several species of dogfish, with the most well-known being the spiny dogfish and the smooth dogfish. Spiny dogfish are often recognized by their two dorsal fins and the sharp spines that give them their name. Dogfish are also important in marine ecosystems and are sometimes caught for their meat, which is used in various dishes.
