Dog Flea
A dog flea is a small, wingless insect that primarily feeds on the blood of dogs and other animals. These parasites are about 1/8 inch long and can jump up to 200 times their body length. Fleas can cause discomfort and irritation to pets, leading to excessive scratching and potential skin infections.
Fleas can also transmit diseases and parasites, such as tapeworms, to dogs. They thrive in warm, humid environments and can reproduce quickly, making it essential for pet owners to maintain proper flea control through treatments and regular grooming.
