Djerdap National Park
Djerdap National Park is located in northeastern Serbia, along the banks of the Danube River. Established in 1974, it covers an area of approximately 64,000 hectares and is known for its stunning landscapes, including cliffs, forests, and diverse ecosystems. The park is home to various plant and animal species, some of which are rare or endangered.
The park features the famous Iron Gates, a gorge that forms part of the Danube and is a significant natural landmark. Visitors can enjoy activities such as hiking, birdwatching, and exploring archaeological sites, including remnants from the Roman Empire.
