Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is a major Hindu festival celebrated by millions around the world. It usually takes place in October or November and symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. During this time, people decorate their homes with diyas (oil lamps) and colorful rangoli designs, and they often exchange sweets and gifts with family and friends.
The festival lasts for five days, with each day having its own significance. The third day, known as Lakshmi Puja, is dedicated to the worship of Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity. Fireworks and festive gatherings are common, making Diwali a joyful occasion for communities to come together and celebrate.
