Districts of Vietnam
Vietnam is divided into 58 provinces and 5 centrally-controlled municipalities, which are further subdivided into districts. Each district serves as an administrative unit, managing local governance and services. Districts can vary in size and population, with some being urban and others rural, reflecting the diverse geography and culture of the country.
The five centrally-controlled municipalities are Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hai Phong, and Can Tho. These cities have their own districts, which are often more densely populated and economically developed compared to rural districts. This structure helps facilitate local administration and development across Vietnam.
