Dishdasha
The Dishdasha is a traditional long robe worn by men in many Arab countries, particularly in the Gulf region. It is typically made from cotton or a lightweight fabric, making it suitable for hot climates. The garment is often ankle-length and comes in various colors, with white being the most common for formal occasions.
In some cultures, the Dishdasha is also known as a Kandura or Thobe. It is often paired with a headscarf called a Ghutra or Keffiyeh, which provides additional protection from the sun. The Dishdasha symbolizes cultural identity and is worn during both everyday activities and special events.
