Direct Taxes
Direct taxes are taxes that individuals or organizations pay directly to the government based on their income or profits. Common examples include income tax, corporate tax, and property tax. These taxes are typically calculated as a percentage of the taxpayer's earnings or the value of their assets.
Unlike indirect taxes, which are included in the price of goods and services, direct taxes are paid directly by the taxpayer. The government uses the revenue generated from direct taxes to fund public services such as education, healthcare, and infrastructure development, benefiting society as a whole.
