Direct Free Kick
A Direct Free Kick is awarded in soccer when a player commits a foul, such as tripping or holding an opponent. The kick is taken from the spot of the foul, and the player can score directly by kicking the ball into the goal without it touching another player first.
The opposing team must stand at least 10 yards away from the ball until it is in play. A Direct Free Kick can be taken by any player on the team awarded the kick, and it is often used as an opportunity to score, especially if the foul occurs near the penalty area.
