Dilmun
Dilmun was an ancient civilization located in the Arabian Gulf, primarily associated with the island of Bahrain. It flourished from around 3000 BCE to 600 BCE and was known for its trade networks, connecting Mesopotamia and the Indus Valley.
The region was rich in resources, particularly copper and pearls, which contributed to its economic prosperity. Dilmun is often mentioned in ancient texts, including the Epic of Gilgamesh, where it is described as a paradise. Archaeological findings indicate that it had a complex society with advanced urban planning and religious practices.
