Dick Powell
Dick Powell was an American actor, singer, and director, born on November 14, 1904, in Mountain View, Arkansas. He began his career in the 1930s as a crooner in musical films, gaining popularity for his smooth voice and charming presence. Some of his notable films include 42nd Street and Gold Diggers of 1935.
In the 1940s, Powell transitioned to more serious roles, showcasing his versatility as an actor. He starred in film noir classics like Murder, My Sweet and Cornered. Later, he became a successful television producer and director, notably for the series The Dick Powell Show, which aired in the 1950s. He passed away on January 2, 1963.
