Diamond Peak Wilderness
The Diamond Peak Wilderness is a protected area located in the Cascade Mountains of Oregon. Covering approximately 52,000 acres, it features diverse landscapes, including rugged mountains, alpine lakes, and dense forests. The wilderness is home to a variety of wildlife, such as deer, elk, and numerous bird species, making it a popular destination for nature enthusiasts.
Established in 1984, the Diamond Peak Wilderness is part of the larger Willamette National Forest. It offers numerous recreational opportunities, including hiking, camping, and fishing. The area is known for its stunning views, particularly from the summit of Diamond Peak, which rises to an elevation of 8,744 feet.
