Dial-Up
Dial-Up is an early method of connecting to the internet using a standard telephone line. It works by dialing a phone number to connect to an internet service provider (ISP), allowing users to access online content. The connection is established through a modem, which converts digital data from a computer into analog signals that can travel over phone lines.
The speed of Dial-Up connections is relatively slow, typically ranging from 56 Kbps to 128 Kbps. This limited speed makes it challenging to stream videos or download large files. As technology advanced, Broadband connections became more popular, offering faster and more reliable internet access.
